Refund and Exchange Policy

At California Wallpaper, we produce custom-made wallpaper, including Grasscloth wallpaper and natural fiber wallpapers (raffia, jute, sisal, cork, linen, textile). These wallpapers are sensitive to production batches and may vary slightly in texture and color from batch to batch. For this reason, we do not keep such wallpapers in stock, and returned wallpapers cannot be resold.

As a result, returns and exchanges are not accepted. However, order cancellations are allowed within 24 hours of placing the order. After this period, production begins, and cancellations will no longer be possible.

We strongly recommend ordering samples before placing a full order to ensure the selected color and texture meet your expectations.

Ordering Recommendations:

  • Carefully measure the wall space you intend to cover.
  • Purchase extra material to account for potential shortages.
  • Order the required quantity in a single purchase, especially if the interval between orders exceeds two weeks, to avoid variations in shade and texture.

Damaged Wallpaper

We check all wallpaper before shipping, however, defects may still occur. The exchange of such wallpaper will be accepted within 14 days from the date of receipt. The item must be returned in the condition in which it was received.

Before you cut and hang, please be sure you have: 1. The correct wallcovering and the correct amount of wallcovering to finish the job. 2. Inspect the wallcovering carefully to ensure it is free of defects: If no defect is evident before installation, the material should be inspected after three (3) strips are installed. If any defect is evident at this time (or at any point in the installation) no additional material should be hung until California Wallpaper is notified. NO CLAIMS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR MORE THAN (3) STRIPS ON THE WALL. All claims must be made within 14 days of the invoice date. No labor claims will be allowed at any time.

The wallpaper should not be used. Once the wallpaper has been used, the item is non-refundable. Before sending the parcel for exchange, write to us at californiawallpaper@gmail.com to get a refund authorization.
